Just picked this up. Very pleased with it too. Pretty well as new, bar a little ding on the butt. I'm pretty sure it's unfired, and at this stage it will stay that way. I'm absolutely wrapped with this cracking little gun! I don't particularly collect anything other than No4's but this had to come with me.

Canadian Snider Cadet Carbine
Picked this up last weekend at the HAC show in Burnaby. Nice looking little carbine, good bore, everything else looks great. Too bad someone polished the brass somewhat recently.
Don't these fire a shorter cartridge than the full length rifles?

Although not a carbine, here's the 1862 Snider Enfield (click here) in my personal collection. I've had this old girl for almost 30 years.
