I think they are a really great action, mine was lost in the gun buyback, along with a dozen other semi auto's.
Just the trick for trimming fingernails when that bolt slams home.

Makes garand thumb look pretty insignificant. I lost mine during the confiscations. They are great fun to fire and are very very accurate.
I am jealous

Damn. I didn't realize there had been a confiscation down under. Sorry to hear that.

I haven't gotten caught by this one...yet. But my Hakim took a big bite out of my thumb a few years ago. "Once bitten, twice shy..."

LLjungman !!
Hi All,
Nice to see i picture again of that fine rifle !!
I had one very long time ago...top condition....but transformed into 6,5x57 .
In Europe this is a ver popular hunting round.
Long time ago in Belgium
the 6,5x 55 Mauser cartridge was cataloged as a military caliber, and you needed a permit to purchase.
Some gun dealers just transformed the rifle into a free hunting round.
Suddenly the rifle could be purchased freely...???
Thats why you can find a lot of rifles in Belgium that has been transformed.
Also the 98K Mauser rifle where transformed to ..8 x 60S ???
Nowerdays the Llungman is one of the only semi-automatic rifle that could be purchased freely?? Even in Cal; 6,5x55...
They are very expensive over here !!
Good luck with you rifle !!

Excellent rifle. designed around French
Mas Tilting bolt and gas impingement system. It does what it is built to do. Hit a man at 200 meters reliably. Hakim has a better cartridge and compensator.

I've got a couple of both. The Hakim is nice and has an adjustable gas system and the brake. The Ljungman seems to be a bit more accurate. I have not found anyone that has a sure fire handload for the Ljungman. Many people advise using a medium burning powder, but that seems to be carryover from the Garand
. Since this was presumably made with the Swedish
surplus loading in mind, that is what I've fired through it.
Anyone have any loading info for the Ljungman?
