Recently I purchased this really nice No7 Longbranch Trainer. It is the very first Enfield in my collection. Matching serial # and Transit case. I think I did well.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Look a nice rifle.
Just to get the nomenclature correct the No7 rifle was manufactured by BSA and had a 5 round magazine (the only .22 Enfield model that had a magazine)

The 'model' you have is known as a "CNo7" (ie Canadian icon

Mk7)

You will have hours of inexpensive fun with her.

Yes, it did. Condition is what got me. I have never seen one as nice. Took me all of 5 seconds to make up my mind. Actually I never took it out of the case/ just saw the top of the rifle and brought it.

These old girls have really gone up in value in the last year ...
