SVT trouble
I bought an svt that was missing the gas piston, I ordered a gas piston and op rod from numrich that fit. I test fired it and it shot the chambered round but then the bolt stuck so bad that I had to use a rubber mallet to force it back to get the spent casing out. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Adjust the gas settings ?

The settings are pretty illegible, say if it wasnt that, what else could cause it?

Either that or rust/dirt in the chamber, or the aftermarket gas system parts don't fit as well as they seem and need some fitting. That's really all I could think of.

If it's clean and well lubricated, and all the parts move smoothly, then you most likely need more gas.
Not fully extracting and then rechambering the fired casing is something I've experienced with my SVT when the gas was set too low.

Could this be a headspace issue?

If the case head remained attached, no.

Just an update. I could never figure it out so I sent it to Rob Applegate who mainly works on G43's. Unfortunately there were a couple of issues. After fixing the gas issue he said...
"Test fire is no good. The case is severely swollen. The chamber might be too far gone already. I measured about .035 too big! You are running out of options......."
Wall hanger I guess!
