Here I am in some of my original uniforms and gear.

Pic by tank is at Camp Perry with 1937 dated M1903A1 rifle. May 1941 dated shirt and original tan trousers with aluminum buttons. 1918 cartridge belt, canteem/cover and first aid pouch. Campaign hat from 1930s. 1919 dated M1905 bayonet with M1910 scabbard.

2nd pic at Camp Perry 2007....Repro shirt/trousers, but all gear same as above and/or 1918 dated. M1910 haversack with M1917A1 helmet and m1910 entrenching tool. 1935 dated '03 Springfield.

3rd pic is M1912 pistol belt with sabre chafe with M1902 sword attached and M1912 pistol holster with 1918 dated magazine pouch. Rifle is 1931 dated M1903 Springfield.

Nice rig! I can add only that the pistol belt is the so called NCO belt because NCOs were authorized to carry the sabre just only during parades but not the M1902 just the previous one (maybe 1895?) . In parades Officers had the Sam Browne belt and teh M1902 sword.

Some nice gear, do you find your m1903 rifle accurate at 300 yards range, i have a Remington 1903A3 with a 2 groove barrel and i find it very accurate at 3oo yards plus, i am thinking about purchasing a 1903 rifle if i can find a good one over here, plus the fact that these rifles cost a fortune in Europe, are they as accurate as the A3.

"They cost a fortune here too".... I passed up 3 different 1903's already, strictly wall hangers all the way, not really even shooters at all. Poor finish on all 3, very worn stock sets on all 3, crowns all nicked, chipped, and bad worn out on all 3. Front sight blade bent almost in half on one of them. The listed price on them was $1,500.00 for each one. All three were beaters, also low serial number springfields. I guess that must be the base price and what they're worth, but I'm not gonna buy one in that shape, for that kind of money, no way no how.

Hi, Hillbilly-06 i still not have managed to find 1903 rifle, the cost of these rifles over here are very expensive and their is not a great number of 1903 rifles to choose from, you could pay up two and a half thousand euro for one of these rifles, i live in hope and the search goes on maybe some day i will get lucky and find a nice 1903 rifle, good luck with your search for a 1903 Hillbilly-06 i wish you well in your search let me know how you get on.

Cool pics, my son an I just got into re-enacting, son has wools and hbt's, I also have pre-war outfit with 03 and Kelly helmet. Just got in hbt's can't find wools yet, everybody is out of stock!
