Ashley and the NPM

Ashley asked to go shooting yesterday and of course I said YES! I am so proud of her. She hit everything she aimed at with the NPM. Okay, almost everything For some reason she could not hit the red Christmas tree bulbs at 50 yards offhand. I don't get it Ashley listened to every word I said and conducted herself with the utmost of safety in mind. I couldn't have asked for more. In the past she really wasn't all that interested in shooting and was even a bit scared of shooting. No more! I gots me a new shooting partner! The spent case in the air was a nice touch

What a wonderful day we had. With all the storms hitting California right now, we threaded the needle and got a very nice and somewhat warm day. I took some videos also and will post them later.

to be able to just drive a little bit and be where you can plink away unmolested. I always enjoy women shooting. They are usually at least as good as any guys once they get beyond their fear.

Yeah, and we were out there and shooting in less than 10 minutes from the house. It is great! My daughter Ashley will be 14 in a couple of weeks. I thing I might get her a .22 rifle.

I thought about giving her the late Inland I have. I figured I would have a better chance replacing an Inland than any of the other nine makers I have. Either way I go it will be staying here anyway so.......

Take her to the next gun show and have her pick out her own carbine. Then spend a day filling out a data sheet, and clean and inspect, all at the same time.

Bill, you are lucky and I hope my daughters will soon start following in Ashley's footsteps

On other option is to get a barreled receiver and help her build-up her own carbine. That not only makes it her's, it will be a great memory for her.


Oh, and she already owns that NPM... Daddy just doesn't know it yet!!!!
