Import mark
This is on a Winchester that came in from Korea in the 80's. Great shooter mix-master..

ATF Approved import mark!?!?
I think the box is from Arlington Ordnance

Don't worry about it. Just be glad it isn't a 'Blue Sky' mark.

Arlington Ordnance carbines had really tiny import marks, thank heaven!

I think Arlington Ordnance was just Blue Sky after Bankruptcy. Maybe with new management.

hammer
If Arlington was Blue Sky after bankruptcy, they must have lost the 4# hammer in the restructuring and they could only find a 12 oz. hammer afterward for the import marks!!

Arlington Ordnance may have been early 90's rather than 80's, not sure of when the name change took place. Somewhere I have (had?) a carbine book that lists one of the main guys at Arlington Ordnance in the credits. It seems like it was at the front of the book, but can't remember which book it is - it could be an older edition that I've given away and replaced with a newer one. I've looked for it a couple of times, with no luck. - Bob

You guys are too funny! I always though Blue Sky used an eight pound sledge!

Does it matter what hammer the 800 pound gorilla uses?
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

If I remember right and I don't always remember right, Arlington Ordnance was before Blue Sky. When it changed names and maybe hands ATF told Blue Sky that the import marks had to be much larger then what had been used by Arlington as the import markings were too easy to remove.
