    Arrow Two Garands

Hello everyone, New to the site and would like to say hi!..I just recently acquired 2 M1icon Garands..one from Spingfield Armory and the other is a H & R both post Korea from the mid 1950's. Look forward to getting info from the experts on the do's and don'ts when shooting as well as maintaining. Even though I am a retired E7 USAR I do look forward to listening to people who know more than I do about these great rifles!!

    Thanks, Tom

Welcome to the forum Tom. Congratulations on your first two M1icon rifles. If you are like most of us there will be others. Your question covers alot of ground. I would recommend that you go thru the "Stickys" at the beginning of the page. You will find alot of information there including videos of disassembly and the like. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask and I am sure you will get some help. Joe

    Two Garands follow up

Here ya go..I found these on Gunbroker and both are CMPicon rifles. Both were described in detail with plenty of parts pics so both are mostly complete SA and HRA. The SA barrel is dated 6/56, the HRA barrel is dated 5/54. Looks like both were shot very little after the rebuild since the ME's are less than 2 and TE is less than 1.5. I actually prefer GB since I can get a very accurate description as compared to buying directly from CMP. Anyway I was not affiliated with CMP at time of purchase but I now am and for my next purchase(there will probably will be another) I will get from them.
