Can anyone help date the old Browning pistols? specifically the 1910 and 1922?

I have some excellent and detailed reference books by Clive Law on the Inglis Browning. I'm not sure if that info is in them, but I'd be willing to have a look if I can find them.

Unfortunately, we just moved and I have a basement full of boxes with most marked "books", so I have no idea where they are. It might take a month before I have the time due to business issues, to wade through and locate them.

Ok.... looking thru my stuff all I found was the 1955 version serial numbers....

How do you tell the difference, you ask...

The 1910 will have Fabrique National rollmarks and "FN" at the top of each grip panel.

The 1955 should have "Browning Arms Company St Louis Mo" and "Made in Belgium icon

" on the left side of the slide. Right side is blank. Grips will have "Browning" at the top of each grip panel.

I can't seem to locate any other serial number references for the Brownings.

A 1910 in .380 was used by Gavrillo Princip to start WW1.
