Here is a photo of a 1943 Remington Rand with original Du-Lite blue finish. It's a late Du-Lite pistol and has a Du-Lite serrated slide stop and a few Parkerized parts mixed in. After ca. serial number 1M, the Du-Lie pistols will often have some Parkerized parts. Mainspring housings, grip safeties and extractors seem to be the first parts that were depleted with Du-Lite finish. Several pistols in this serial range have been observed with those parts Parkerized.
This pistol was acquired in an authentic WWII Remington Rand box. I've got 33 different images of this pistol in the Gallery at my site for subscribers to view and have installed a new slide show module on the Home page of my site where I show about half those pictures.
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Sounds like a wedding!Technically, the slide show module is a trial version, so I guess it's borrowed until I get the license for it.
Anyway, here's one image of the pistol. I plan to use the slider to feature different pistols periodically on the Home page of my site. The images in the slider are only 800 x 600, but seem large enough. The images in my Gallery are typically 1024 x 768.
