It's the Danish
version of the British
P37 basic pouches. Hooked to the belt at an angle. Right or left side.

I did a lot of on-line research when I first came across and started buying them for Sten mags. There isn't a whole lot of info out there on them but here's one of the sites that I had found that does show pictures of them in configuration ( http://m55q.blogspot.com/2009/06/m44...equipment.html ). If you want, I'll see if I can find the other links.
The original pouch was designed and used by the Brits, Canadians and others as Bren mag pouches. They were later lengthened (during WW II) to serve dual duty as a Sten mag pouch since none were ever specifically designed/adopted for Stens. The Danish
pouches are all post-WW II production as far as I can tell.

My bad. I took a closer look at your pictures and we're talking about two different designs. I think yours is the earlier Pattern 37 pouch design, not the later lengthened version that I was referencing.
