    Tm9-1276

A good friend found this at a flea market in Wisconsin. There was only one and he remembered I collect carbines so it came in the mail this morning. This TM is unique in that the Army and USAF were still sharing manuals at the time. Un-read until today! Regards, Rick.

That is probably the most complete of the Carbine manuals, IIRC. I also have it.

For some reason the file size of that 1953 version is over 5 times larger than Badger's 1947 version, and the quality is very poor in comparison - leave it up to Google. - Bob

edit: I just found out the 1953 download isn't searchable. No reason to have it on the computer - might as well just get out the book and do it the old fashioned way!

Here's the larger 1953 (22 Mb Adobe PDF file) one that USGI is referring to for anyone who wants it...

Adobe PDF file - 22 Mb (right click to "save as")

There's also another one under our Steve's Gun Pages mirror:

    Steve's Gun Manuals

Look alphabetically under M for M1icon Carbine Manual. Unfortunately, there's no header or front page information, so I have no idea what date or version this particular manual is.

    Hope that helps ...

    Regards,
    Doug

The 1947 edition just came in handy.
A fellow member has come across a rear sight aligning tool. (Gage)
We weren't quite sure how to properly use it, until looking in to the 1947 version.
Couldn't find it in the 1953 copy.

Anyone know the value of a Rear Sight Aligning Gage?

    Charlie,

I dont know current prices. A few years back (5 or 6) I sold one for $10. Guessing it would be a bit higher now.
