    Evaluating this AC43 P38

    Hello,

I have been offered this AC43 P38 along with 2 correct period magazines, waffenamt marked (but not both 359 for Walther) and a soft shell holster. I am basically looking for your opinions and observations about the pistol in general, and regarding an approximate fair market value. All numbers on the pistol match, although the condition is not the best. How would you rate this overall? I tried to get some good bore photos, I apologize for their quality. Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Actually it's not in bad shape, from what I can tell from the photos. Does it have any import marks? The barrel is a little rough. I believe this is a 2nd variation of the AC 43, my reference says that they made 50,000 of this variation. The bonus is that your getting the holster (if it is correct) and the two magazines.

Yes, the bore is pretty rough. No import marks. What I was thinking of when I said the condition wasn't too good was the wear on the frame, especially on the sides of the trigger guard and front of the grip. Also the scratches/wear on the sides of the slide, a little pitting also I think. Just compared to others this seems a bit worn to me.

As a reference point, I paid $700 for this one last month. It did not have a correct magazine and it didn't come with a holster.
