The receiver will accept a standard No. 4 rear sight if you take of the PH or AJP rear sight. The forsight block is machined to accept the tunnel style sights so putting a standard blade sight will not work as it will not fit and it will be way to low. Cannot wait to see pic's!

Thanks for the close up never been able to see it that well, I figured the front sites were just made to fit a original blade dovetail. Maybe I'll have to make myself up a "custom" front sight in that case. As I really would like the "original" No.4 Micrometer sights attached.
Attached is the picture I had when I decided to buy it (The poster on CGN posted part of his gun room on a thread and I bid on the one just with this view). Its the only Enfield in the picture and its the blond one.
Mind you not much different then any other purchase I have done, always with a rough idea of what I want and what I am looking at. I am one of those guys who in their head "bought" the item before the clerk at the store hands it to them to "check out".

Oh how I wish I could find an Envoy! Please post photos when you get it home.
PS if it were me I would leave the PH sight on the rifle as that would be the correct sight for it.

Well he wanted alittle more for the target sights and since I wanted to convert I sent him the lower amount for the rifle without them. I hope he is alright with me changing my mind and bringing cash to purchase the sights off him when I get the rifle.

From what I gather he does not have the rear target sight (he mentioned having the "No.4 flip sight"), no great loss but I'm still going to go ahead and get the sights till I can find a PH5E4 to replace it with.
Edit, Pictures will be forth coming Saturday night.

The front sight dovetail on the Envoy will take a No8 foresight protector
then a standard No4 foresight can be fitted to that, hope that helps

the PH5E4 will work but is really for an Enforcer so you can fit a scope using PH mounts but still be able to fit the lower half of the iron sights. Thus with a quarter you can take the scope off an install the rest of the sight and you are good to go.
My Enforcer has a PH5E4 of course, but for comparison my Envoy and DCRA No. 4 have a PH5C and my L39 has a AJP TZ 4/80. All three heavy barrel girls have a AJP Matchmaker forsight.
Price for these sights have been running $150-250 on ebay not including the forsight so you might want to arm wrestle the guy for the sights that were on it.
On a side note, please check your magazine when you do get it as I am still looking for mine (E148) as I have E165 on it right now.
