    PU Scope cleaning

Anybody ever took apart a PU scope to clean the lenses ???

My lenses are clear but there is a piece of dirt moving around inside the scope and sometimes it sticks to the lense , i sometimes have to tap the scope to get it of the field of view

I am actually scared to take it apart i really don't want to break it

Ok so i mailed Kalinka Optics asking if it was safe to remove the lenses to clean and here is what they responded.

No the inside of the PU scope is filled with nitrogen to help prevent moisture from building up inside the scope. if you remove the lenses or disassemble the scope you will loose this.

Thanks for your questions. If there is anything else I can do for you please let me know. To ensure proper tracking and timely response please do not reply to this email, use the web interface link below when responding to this ticket
