Sten Bayonet
I can't post the link at the moment, but there's an authentic ( and not mine) Sten bayonet currently listed on EBay. In 30 years of collecting British
rifles and bayonets I've only seen one genuine example. Interesting to see how much it brings.

I'm always leary of them. I know one man here that has had original stamps for years and got two from IMA. He marked them both and re-parked them, sold one with the story " It had come from a 35 year collection of an old man." It's out there now.

I got one from IMA I think about 15 years ago as a repro, but it looks so good it could be original. It even has a makers marks on it. I'll take pictures if anyone is interested.

Yep!
A SMG is essentially an "extended-range" bayonet, anyway.
And those "skewer" bayonets are not very good at spreading the blackcurrant jam on the dog-biscuits or chopping the kindling, either.

Bayonet......... the last means of mechanical defiance. Mind you, in an assault they put the fear of god into you - or the fear of Allah if you are in an Iraqi trench!
