    Krag Bolt Problem

I am running into a problem in my restoration project. I replaced a sporter barrel with a full length barrel. When I put in the bolt it will not quite go in all the way. It runs into something and looks like it needs a quarter inch or so to complete the rotation of the bolt. It worked fine with the old barrel an I am not sure if it did after the replacement. Could the new barrel be the problem or is something else preventing the full rotation?

Does the new barrel have the extractor cut in it ???? When installed the cut should be at 12:00 o'clock.

Yes, there is a notch but when I tightened the barrel to max using a proper wrench etc. it was about 1/16" short and the extractor won't go in. For now I rotated the barrel 360 deg. And the bolt will go in, but the barrel is not tight. I applied maximum force to the wrench. Should I try to file the notch to make it bigger?
