I am new here... Got my first Enfield this weekend... Think I did GOOD...
So, I found an Enfield Jungle Carbine in a Pawn Shop this weekend, and after mentioning it to a knowledgible collector, I snapped it up in a hurry.... I am not sure on value, but I am pretty sure I got a great deal!
It is a No. 5 Mk I, dated 12/47... all 4 matching serial numbers (AC 6127), and no import marks. Seems to me that it was almost too good to be true... in immaculate condition. See the pics and let me know what you think... I have them posted in a public FB album.

Very good buy especially at that price. Welcome to the Lee Enfield addiction, it never ends no matter how long you spend in rehab.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

You might have a tough road ahead buying that nice a No 5 at that price. Enfields tend to be somewhat addictive (about like crack) and not often found at bargin prices. That being said you have a very nice foundation to an Enfield collection. That is as nice a No 5 as I have seen. Congradulations & happy hunting for the next one.

My wife says crack is cheaper than a Lee Enfield addiction. But I digress. They are a fascinating weapon with unlimited avenues of collecting and researching. Your are in the right place to cultivate your Lee Enfield experience.

That is a very nice JC you have there, friend. You wouldn't get it that cheaply here, so you did well.
