The "D" is the only version of the 52 I've never owned. But our rifle team in college had a pile. Of the lot, the "C" is my favorite followed by the early speed lock 52s.

Every once in a while an "E" turns up on the auctions. Big money, but man...what a rifle.

How much, roughly for an "E"? Mine's had the stock shortened, so it won't bring top end. Not that's it's going anywhere, barring dramas...
So what do you think of your "B"? Sold mine off years ago, which was possibly a mistake, but the trigger wasn't as good as those before or after. Tiny annoyance, but it was enough!

The E's that I've seen are $1500 and up.
I still haven't shot my B yet, but it does have a Canjar trigger, which is supposed to be much better than the original trigger.

Damn...nice looking rifle.

Since your "D" is US marked it ought to be good for multiple entries into Bigduke6's annual thread:
Milsurp Target Competition and Shoot (2014)
It ought to eat the center out of the 25yd target. Probably the 50 yd as well if you find ammo it likes.

I'll look into that match.
I've got a couple of H&R M12's that are US marked...should have shot this match earlier.
