Need help identifying three tools
One is marked U.S., and appears to be a spring compressor of some sort. Another is a screw drive which I though went with a foreign firearm. The third is a tool to hold a small part as it is assembled into a firearm.
I should know what these are for, but as I purchased them years ago, put them in a box and never used them, I have forgotten any information about them. I've spent a couple of hours on the Internet search for them with no results. The one marked U.S. has been identifies as an M1
Carbine hammer spring tool, but when I search for information on the Internet I do not find it.

The only one I can ID is the carbine tool. I have one and I use it , but really it is just as easy to use the mainspring guide through the hammer plunger hole as anything else , just as long as you remember to stay on the side of the hammer without the notch.

Thanks Chris. I wonder why I can't find any reference to that tool. I t is not listed in any of my reference books, and I can't find it on any Internet searches.

The first tool is strongly reminiscent of the combined tool for the Luger pistol. The Luger only has 2 screws - to hold the grips in place. The Luger tool has what looks like a bevelled edge around the hole, so that it slips partially behind the lug on the outside of the magazine to enable the lug to be pushed down and rounds to be inserted without FUBARing your thumb. But the Luger tool has a bent-over portion which one can push down. So although the gadget in the photo may not be for a Luger, my guess is that the holes are also some kind of reloading aid.

It was not an issue tool to the troops . It was issued higher up the repair chain , and those items don't get the attention of troop issued items . Also , because the spring guide does as well , I'm not sure of it's numbers or time of use . It might of not been used for long.
