Looks like they are on a ship somewhere ocean in background bottom Rt field and a block at 12:00 from a davit crane perhaps or mast support and framed by ropes...
They look pretty clean and the weapons rather fresh a real long shot due to the equipment mentioned could it be Operation Torch!
Then again could be wrong others may wish to add on......
