Well, I thought I was going to be able to edit, but I don't see that feature once posted.

I think you have to be a paying member to edit posts, if I understand it correctly.

That's not quite correct ....
Gloria specifically requested that the option to EDIT posts be turned OFF for the new CSP
Forums, whereas it's available in all of the rest of the Milsurp site forums. I gather she had some really bad experiences and other issues when it was ON in their old forums, with people going back in time changing the context of posts, which created chaos and bad feelings.
I believe it's appropriate to at least have the EDIT capability active for a short period of time, so posters can go back and make spelling, grammar, or other corrections.
So, I've asked her to reconsider the decision and will advise if she changes her mind ....
Although the Military Surplus Collectors Forums are FREE to everyone interested in these old milsurp firearms, some members have graciously chosen to voluntarily donate a nominal amount of money, to help defray several thousand dollars in annual system bandwidth, server, disk storage and maintenance costs. This special group of members receive additional recognition and access capabilities to MILSURPS.COM, such as a colored "Contributing Member" banner panel under their name, a unique color display of their chosen username, unlimited picture attachments file storage on the system, ability to delete their own posts, a substantial increase in private message storage to 2,000 PM's, plus other general priority based conveniences.
In addition, Contributing Members enjoy value added services such as full access to the resources of our Appraisals and Mediation Forum (click here), no limits to classified ad posting and twenty (20) additional FREE credits that may be applied towards displaying featured ads in the Quartermaster Stores (click here), plus public and private file storage hosting for their personal pictures in the Image Storage (click here) area of the MILSURPS.COM server (similar to PhotoBucket).
For more information on How do I become a "Contributing Member" (click here)?
Remember, there is no requirement for anyone to pay anything to use the site, let alone the EDIT function in the CSP forums. Please make sure other CSP members understand this design choice made by Gloria, which is specific to the CSP Forums only.
Thanks .....

+1 to the ability to edit a post.
+1 also to becoming a contributing member. For those of us who always wanted to help with the old CSP but were graciously denied by the Culvers, making a contribution to Milsurps is a great way to help.
Don't blame me - I voted for Palin.
"Every Airfield should be a stronghold of fighting
air-groundmen, and not the abode of uniformed
civilians in the prime of life protected by
detachments of soldiers." Winston Churchill.

We are DEVO!
+2 to the ability to edit a post ... ("are we not men?")
+2 also to becoming a contributing member ... (you'll find that many CSP
people are more than capable of contributing and willing to carrying the load financially)

Update: Gloria listened and agreed to allow EDITING of posts by the original poster, providing they only be allowed 60 minutes from the time stamp of the original post to do so. That would give a poster enough time to fix his spelling, grammar, or screwed up pics issue, after he viewed the one he submits.
Under those rules of engagement, the EDIT function is now turned ON ...
