Easy restoration. I would cut back to the band, and put on a replacement fore arm. Stain to match and off you go. I have done this several times on lightly Bubba'd rifles. You have something with yours, if it is all match and has Mum!
Thanks for the pics!!

I was thinking of replacing all the word and front hardware until I read Midmichigun reply.
Midmichigun .Can you show me one of your finished rifles? I am no good at visualizing anything. My rifle costs me $100 and the only reason I bought it was because of the whole mum.

A.F. I think that the lower band has been set back an inch or so and the rear swivel slot filled. Also the stock has been sanded. Usually I'm all for making a new fore end and handguard but in this instance I think that your matching with MUM barreled action deserves a better original stock. You might look for a non matching/ground mum rifle with a good stock and switch out the stocks. Or buy a good complete stock on EBAY. You will still come out ahead and have a very desirable rifle. Note also that the lower band looks modified so you need that also. Salt Flat

You need a proper stock for that. Do the playing around with this stock when you have a ground mum to put it in. I'd buy a cheap ground mum and swap it out.

In this case, I will side with the X- Perts. If the band has been set back, it would be hard to fix.
I can certainly show you a photo of one of my finished rifles if you still have interest... although I have a few "work in progress" going on right now...
Good luck!

Look and see what series your rifle is and post it here. I have several stock that were duffel cut and I'ver repaired and will part with one very reasonable. roy
