Can I humbly suggest this. There's no exact way (?) to replicate the trajectory of your No1 rifle backsight with commercial or handloads. So what I suggest you do is this. Start with TWO known datums. You have the first - the backsight. Now beg borrow or steal 25 or so rounds of .303" UK
Military Mk7. Use this to zero the rifle at 25 yds using the EMER zeroing spec. That way you know that your rifle is correctly zeroed and will be through the ranges that you'll be using on your backsight/rifle.
Now get some handload info and work up a load that is close - or as recommended by your pals. You adjust your hand loads to the rifle and sight. Not the other way around

Oh My! could I kill the pig if I had a factory producing Mk VII cordite fueled rounds, you can only get the data by range time as Peter says otherwise you may suffer the flying fickling finger of faint award!!!!!!!

here is my one piece of wisdom
get a chrony and match the MV
to be as close to Mk7 as you can get the bullet must be the same balance as the Mk7 and delivered at the same MV. I am yet to find a bullet the same as the MK7 from a comercial manufacturer but if you have some pulls then you are golden

Mk E has the right intent but I would surmise the BC's of both projies to be different giving the SMK 174 grain a different trajectory as a better BC not apparent at the 25yd ranging card supplied by milsurps you may find also you may not have to drive the SMK at the regulation 2450fps for the Mk VII round it may be at 2400fps for your riifle who knows.
Sadly like myself and others it is off to the range and shooting over the distances getting the data and then doping the conditions as at least you have the range plotted.
And whats happening at 300yds may be entirely different at 600yds.
I am not trying to put you off your endeavours but it has been said countless times the modern reloaded ammo or factory rounds are a totally different beast to the WWII issued ordnance.
Anyway thats what I had to do with all my 303's lotsa rounds down range and then when I used Highlands well there we go again, have fun I certainly did.
