I like that NPM - like your coffee table, too! I have a friend that has an NPM close to yours - s/n 4,105xxx with a 10-43 Underwood barrel. His has a flip sight, push safety, type 1 barrel band, 2 rivet handguard, and an unmarked oval cut "high-wood" stock. It has an SG recoil plate, but I've never looked up to see if that might be a known transfer from Saginaw. It's been in his family for over 60 years. I started a thread on the forum about it a few years ago with some pictures. If you can't find it, PM me and I'll provide you a link. Does your stock have some modifications at the nose and at the front of the pistol grip? Thanks for showing it to us! - Bob

You like.. that hammer is also blued to match the rifles..
The glass is actually polycarbonate so its break resistant. I was showing someone that I can hit it with a hammer and it wont break.

Not an IBM safety but a post war rebuild replacement.

You should probably keep that IBM trigger housing, it could be correct. Over 3500 of them were transferred to NPM in October, 1943. I also checked on the SG recoil plate I mentioned on my buddy's NPM. Saginaw supplied NPM with 30,000 recoil plates in November, 1943. I've got a few of those flip safeties with the M in a "horseshoe" - I believe they were made by McCullogh, late WWII time frame. - Bob
