Nice rifle, but that is a Smith Corona bolt sleeve....

M1903A3's were made by two contractors, Remington Arms Ilion, NY and the LC Smith - Corona Typewriter Co of Syracuse. The SC bolt sleeves have a distinctive profile. The sleeve is that "plug-like" part that screws into the back of the bolt and holds the safety and the firing pin.
Whoops misread the previous post...I thought it said WHAT is a SC bolt sleeve

The bolt sleeve on the picture is actually a Bay Products contract piece. The firing pin was indeed a smith-corona part. I switched both pieces for the correct Remington parts after I had taken the pictures.
