are p14 ejector's hard to find
newbie to the site, wondered in here looking for parts. I recently picked up a p14, it was more of a just looking for something to tinker on. I own several 1917 Eddystone rifles, answered a local add about a 1917 that would not chamber a round, they sent me pictures and I responded that it was not a 1917 but the guy was adamant because when imported CAI marked it as such out by the front sight, I bought it cheap and here is what I have ,,its a full matching number ERA P14, i dont believe it had ever been fired since being imported as the firing pin was frozen solid in cosmoline
. It has 2 problems,,1st the ejector is broken,,I did the country boy repair with a cut down ink pen spring and have it working but looking for an new one,,2nd,,someone put it into a hunting style stock, ''rifle itself has not been altered" .. I have most of a p17 stock I may put it back into,,question is,,where to buy ejectors,,I have looked all over the net.

The top three places to keep checking for ejectors would be Springfield Sporters, Numrich, and ebay. I have two 1917s with the modified ejectors, both sport traces of red paint and other forien markings. If I come across cheap winchester ejectors I would buy them but I really don't feel the need to replace them.

Hard to find item, the fix you made to the old one should last for a long time.

Did you inadvertently get a picture of one of your 1917s in the mix? A Pattern 14 in 30-06 would certainly have been altered, yes? Tom

oldpaul,,thats why I showed that marking,,CAI miss-marked it, when imported they marked it P-17 30-06, even if correct it should have been M-17,,not p,,that is why everyone that kept saying they could not get it to chamber 30-06,,because its not a 30-06,, maybe that was why no one ever bothered to sporterize the rife itself. Whats scary is I know for a fact it went to at least one so called gunsmith and he never figured out its a 303. and some idiot just marked it wrong

I think, I have a correct one. It is rough, but, would probably work. PM me and you can have it cheap.

Hopefully Butlersrangers has sorted you out with your ejector - if not you may be able to try a mob from Australia
- Lawrance Ordinance - they seem to have a number of P14 spares
Lawrance Ordnance - British Pattern '14 (No.3 Mk.I/I*) .303 Parts
doubt postage would be much

Ink pen extractor works great. I understand wanting it "original" but I think if I got an unaltered one, I'd leave it out and use the ink pen.
