WWII Digger spent 15 years correcting Australia's records...
Many of us know that 'in our day' (no matter when 'our day' was) record-keeping in the military was mostly done by squaddies who were bored to their back teeth and didn't give a tinker's. Accuracy wasn't their priority - getting through to knock-off time without a bollocking was.
Truly, this man has taken on a mission of honour that will aid future generations immeasurably.
