You fired 30.06 out of an Arisaka
Type 99 while not knowing 100% sure it was rechambered for that?? Whew.............................................. ....................................

From what you describe it's be re-barreled or re-chambered to .30-06 and scrubbed. What we call sporterized.

I havent figured out how to post pictures on here yet but I can email some to anybody that wants to see them. And yeah I know it was stupid but I just couldnt help myself lol. Another thing I was curious about was that there isnt any markings whatsoever on the reciever not even any model mark of any sort like is on every other one Ive seen.

Seller said it was chambered in .30-06, and I`m sure that if it were still chambered in 7.7×58 Arisaka a .30-06 would NOT have chambered & fired in it !................

Totally understood that. But he was going on the advice of someone who didn't sound 100% sure himself of what it was chambered in. Not getting on the guy, but it's not a really smart practice to go off discharging firearms that you're not completely sure about. As I understand it, the South Koreans were given Arisakas that were chambered for 30-06, and those reportedly weren't very safe. Correct me if I'm wrong on this. Just be careful out there guys!
