Well done Flying Pig, I knew this would all come to fruition...now for the other rifles in need...

Thanks a bunch for the kind words Bubba. I'm really glad you are happy with the stock, and I hope that rifle shoots like a house on fire for you.
Bolt, I can do any rifle that I have a pattern stock for, and all the metal to fit. I can do a few different Rosses now because that's what I collect. I plan on doing whatever is needed but if it's something I don't have in the collection it's tough to do.

I guess you'd need a donor rifle of sorts. I once had a Lee straight pull 6mm stock done by someone in Edmonton 30 years ago and he asked if he could keep the old stock. He'd had to build up damaged portions with bondo and then the stock needed some outside work finished...and the stockbolt drilled I think. It all turned out flawless though.

Flying Pig,
Thanks for the quick turnaround, and putting out a good product, FP.
Now, if I can just find a nose cap, floorplate swivel, and fore end swivel, this old girl of mine will be looking like she just left the Armoury, minus all the storage rash!
Loaded up some 174gr Sierra HPBT's over 34.5grs of H4895 to give her a baptism of fire, tomorrow. Also have to give my refurbished #1 Mk III a bit of a workout.

I will have to give my hand a try at uploading some pictures of my rifle. It may take a while as I am not really good with the computer stuff, and I also need to find my camera.....buried somewhere around the house, of course. What thread is the front band retainer screw, FP? I have access to all sorts of machine screws, even a limited supply of BA screws, but from what I have read, these rifles have North American thread form screws.
BTW, the extra Mk III bolt I have is complete, and all locking lugs are complete and undamaged. It is complete, even with extractor.
One odd thing about my rifle, the front sight is not the usual blade, but is an aperture sight. This is not some cobbled up jobbie either, as it is well machined. Anyone know anything about such front aperture sights?

Thank you for the offer, BAR. Once I find my camera, I will have a go at posting pictures, if I cannot work it out, I will contact you.
Are you ex-CF or British
forces? I have been working with the British army for a long time at CFB Suffield, BATUS.

To be honest, I couldn't tell you off hand what size/thread it is. They for sure are North American thread.
I'll dig out that mid band for you here tonight. Do you have a rear sling swivel for one then? I could check and see if I've got one of them as well. I don't think I have a floor plate with swivel left though.
