Went to the local gun shop for some flashlight batteries and found something a little different...

Egyptian Helwan 9mm; copy of the Beretta Model 1951 single stack - predecessor of the Model 92F. There were 3-4 variations; the first two were surplus Egyptian Military and Police guns - supposedly in better condition/better steel and heat treat - then the other two batches - with guess what - the Century imported commercial ones suffered from poor heat treat!

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Having looked at a few Beretta pistols before, one thing jumps out about this design, where is the safety on this model?

Is it a cross bolt style button at the top of the grip, or is there none at all like a TT33?
