The first picture is a commercial proof mark at the top. the bottom one I am not sure of, I cannot quite make it out. someplace there should be a mark, most likely on the top of the barrel (.303 2.222, 18.5 tons, a square and either a sword mark (London) or a Birmingham (crossed swords) mark. If a crossed sword mark you can identify the year it was proofed.
The second picture is the model No5 Mk I, the factory ROF(F) -Royal Ordnance Factory Fazakerley. That Factory was located in Liverpool, just north of Wales.
The second line of the second picture is the date of manufacture 5/46 and the serial number: W3167
The mark on the left side of the action in the third picture is the made in England
mark (England) which was part of the commercial proof on arms proofed commercially between 1953 and 1968 (period of large exports out of UK to US).
Looks like a well used No5 MK I that was exported out fo the UK between 1954 and 1968.

Mine is a 5/46 ROF (F) also. The serial number has a "V" prefix. How many rifles were made in each letter block?

One interesting fact I got from my half Welch wife (other half Lithuanian).
Fazakerley was well know for introducing indoor plumbing to the Welch, as a number of the employees in WWII were transients from North Wales, indeed as far as Wembley.

9999 between each letter change. Not sure I'd allow a Fazakerley or Liverpool plumber to do the plumbing in my house. They say that the recent severe floods in the North of England
were CAUSED by Liverpool plumbers..........
