Yep. I saw a lot of US Army NCOs, especially helicopter crew chiefs and Warrant Officer aviators with personal revolvers (mostly .357s) during my time and travels in sunny South Vietnam.

Nice picture. That is one of my favorite configurations: M84 scope, G&H M1C mount and a bracket developed by the Army Weapons Command. I set one up that way for grins.
