What are the early sp1 stocks from around 1964 to 1966 with the non trapdoor butt plates going for these days? Thanks in advance

Hey G, if you are able, can you post a few photos of what you have and perhaps post it to the appraisal section (https://www.milsurps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=47). You may have better luck there.

Numerich gun parts had them for around 30 bucks a set about a year ago. Used but cleaned up pretty darn well. They appeared to be off of USAF rifles.

Prices are up. A nice clean one runs $50 to $60, now, since retro is the fad. Funny, I built a complete M4gery with a Wilson 1/7 twist Melonite barrel for under $450, but it would cost me $100-$150 more than that njust for an A1 or SP1 upper, with no BCG or charging handle!

Ain't that the truth. I spent the same build my A1 as I would have buying a quality AR15.

AR15SPORT.COM has them in good condition... however, they are $80.

I did! I'd used the AR platform quite abit but assembling one truly teaches you how every piece works. I think all AR shooters should build at least one.
