Ross MkII 3*
This is not my first MkII Ross, however today I opted not to shot one I recently obtained.
My question is when are the lugs suppose to turn? Upon closing the action or upon pulling the trigger?
Today I noticed the "new" rifle did not lock into battery and took very little force to pull back.
The lugs turned when depressing the trigger.
Is this normal? Not how I recall the action functioning.
Rather safe than sorry.
Thanks

The lugs rotate into locking position before firing. The head also shortens up into the bolt body at that point. Your rifle isn't assembled correctly.

Thanks. Must be age. But I knew something was not right but second guessed myself.
