    We all learn

I was getting ready for a range day with some friends in doing so discovered a mark on the underside of my 6.5x285's barrel which had me puzzled.
I thought about it and then came up with the answer, the peg on my Rocksteady rest was touching the underside of the barrel about 1 1/4" from the end of the stock this may have been the cause of the odd flyer.
Anyway set the target at 100m trying the new load from previous shoots that I conducted with different jumps as I have the new ELD's in 143 ~ 140gn and had to do loads up in case 140 Bergers get in short supply again!!!!!
Pretty happy with the 100m clover leaf (.3 MOA) if I settle myself a bit more should just about get it a smidge tighter so the load is good to go, moved out to 173m(lasered) with the 6.5 x 284.
The 3 shot 173m target was a tad disappointing the wind picked up and my target was doing a jig on the system I rigged up (mods happening for this) but still managed a reasonable effort(.3~.4MOA)
The APRS group shows I am anticipating the break as I have the flyer again and really am at a loss as how to correct this as we have done very little dedicated shooting for quite a while. (1 shot then a flyer 3rd shot right on the first for a 2 shot .3 MOA)
I did shoot another 173m group with the 6.5 and I had 2 groups going within 1/2" of each other one 3 shot (center of target) & 4 shot the 3 shot was measured at .25MOA.
So I have some ironing out to do as this has only manifested in the last 3 shoots.
