Some 303 rounds (pic heavy)
Thought I would share some 303 rounds nothing real fancy a few early M F's and CAC rounds interesting that the CAC 07 & 08 are marked with a C for Cordite and the 09 is not or any others after that date, also trying a new technique of picturing the head stamps with the camera.
SR= Spennymoor round is Incendiary
CAC= Colonial Ammunition Co either Auckland or Melbourne
M F = Munitions Footscray
RL= Royal Laboratories
RG= Radway Green

Someone said that the Mark Vl was in production until 1916, also a lot of early rifles were still in colonial service too.
Nice collection of 303 cartridges too

RCS ~ I just had a quick look at an incomplete Vickers belt I have with the balance of MkVI rounds in my collection the latest date I can see is 6 1917

Thanks Mike I thought it may be just like the CAC II C cordites learning all the time, I also found 2 of these hiding among the others ~ 1971 Mk VII made at the Indian Kirkee arsenal. So when did they stop making ball ammo for the 303 in the world!

More finds
Going through my clipped rounds I found these ones with no H/S are they black powder ones you can feel the powder move inside and if it is black powder I will not be shaking them at all from now on just in case.
Postscript ~ took over the table for a go through as usual some doubles in the styro-foams but most are singles apart from a 20 pack of Trc the wife is a tad miffed at present but I needed to sort it out showing @60% of what I have in 303 cartridges its been a 42 year journey so far

I still get PPU, 174 grain FMJ thru local gun shop. Shoots ok for what we use it for. Usually get a carton of 500 to make it worthwhile for the shop: if this helps.
