M1 Carbine 30 Round Magazine Question
I am still trying to find out which mags I have. I have several mags that appear to be new and were shipped in a dark brown wax type paper. I don't remember how long I have had them or where I acquired them. I am 81 so my memory is not real good. They are new and very well built. The welds are good, dark blue, empty mag bolt hold open feature. They are much better looking than the M2 marked mags that I own. My main question is would these mags be Korean made? I have heard that the Korean made mags are good quality and work very well. Sorry for the second post on this issue.

Probably. They made a lot of these for the Korean Police and Military use. (They are still using them, so they have a purpose [I]in country[I]). This is just a guess. Take them out and use them. Report back and let us know how well they function.

Your first post indicating the number "3" and wrapped in the brown wax paper supposedly indicate made in Taiwan and were said to be good thirty round magazines. There was a lot of talk in the CMP
forum about these several months ago. The number on the magazines could go from 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4.
I can't vouch for any of the above information nor the quality.
The new Korean made 30 round magazine that I am aware of are marked "UU" on the back spine of the magazine. I have several of these that work fine.
