Sedgley 10/43 barrel
After reading a lot on the internet
I found out that a lot of Sedgley barrels are bent
I have a 10/43 barrel
When I drop a 19/64 drill bit in the bore it hangs up about 1/2 way down
Can this barrel be straighten or is it a lost cause
It is still short chambered and never been fired
Thanks

I saw a really neat video once. I think it was on the crtical past sight or one of those archive pages like that. But it had a vintage video of them straightening barrels at SA. The funny thing to me at the time, they did everything by "eyeing" it. I guess I just never thought of it, and to see it done in such a simple process, it really amazed me.
If I could remember where I saw it, I would post a link. It was sort of neat to watch.

There's lots of guys here that would do that, also they refer to a "Sheet of glass". When you get as far as I have, and your eyes start to change...you stop eyeballing and use a failsafe.

I've got the same barrel (S 10-43) and it's straight. Rumor had it some weren't stored in a proper manner, others claim post contract were demilled.... Who knows
