    Rear sight I.D

Asking for help in identifying these 2 different rear sights I have had for ages and what rifle they would be from I am assuming they are Lee types due to the crown stamp & the E. I have noted that B1 has an offset notch to the left was this for the MLE due to counteract the spindrift at long range. (Pics from Left - Rt A, A1, A2 ~ B, B1, B2)

The first one looks like a Pattern 14 rear sight

I believe the first is an Eddystone made sight for the P14 and the second is for the Swedishicon Mauser.

    I agree.

How do you tell the difference between an Eddystone P14 and M1917 sight? Is it the graduation for the ranges or are there other features?

I'd be looking for US acceptance marks if it were an M1917. I agree a P14.

I concur that the first sight is for a P-14. The second sight is most likely for a NZicon carbine since it is graduated to 2000 yards while the MLM and the MLE only went to 1800.

First is a P14 sight, second is a Swedishicon M96 Mauser sight, nothing to do with Enfields.

You are absolutely correct on it being a M-96 sight and I was wrong with my assumption that it could be a carbine sight.
