Very nice John and an excellent Job, maybe I'm just getting old (was a year older Saturday gone) but there is something about semi auto rifle, SMG or LMG etc with wood furniture....... I,ve a few bits heading my way to give a modern semi auto a more mature look.......

Hi Geoff and a very happy birthday to you mate, hope you had a few Ales!
Cheers, I do enjoy working on guns, always satisfying and it's great to get out of the office and into the workshop.

Very nice MC303 my b-inlaw carried one for his tour of SVN after ditching his F-1 which in his opinion said was a POS.
Happy b/day BD6 I think we all notice that after turning 40ish the years somehow appear to be shorter!

Cheers Cinders, I have a soft spot for the L2 and still hanker after building a live example one day.

Nice looking LARs, the walnut is about perfect and the one with the small sight is almost spot on for the one I carried for a while...except I used a hose clamp to keep the bi-pod up.

Very nice looking rifles, keep your eyes open for the recoil reducer (for the Singapore contract rifle), one may pop up at some stage, if I see one I'll let you know

Cheers Kev,
The NZ contract L2A1 is the only example I have ever seen in the UK, there must be others I guess, but its one very rare rifle here. I would appreciate any leads on a recoil reducer, I did have another L2 a while ago with one fitted (Malay contract I think), but I made the mistake of selling it on, a rather interesting device.
I don't think the reducer is a UK controlled part, as its a muzzle brake, can anyone clarify that?, The Flash Eliminator is a controlled part, for some stupid reason.
I would guess that's why the example that was fitted to my Malay contract L1A1 (SAS display build) was cut off to make a desk ornament and not simply unscrewed.
