SRS lookup please.
Hello all,
I just obtained a trapdoor springfield rifle model 1884. It has a SWP cartouche with a 1886 date, 1884 breachblock, buffingtin rear sight and the P proofmark on the wrist behind the triggerguard. On top of the comb of the buttstock is the number "1" with a VA stamped underneath, and lower on the stock right above the buttplate is a letter "E" with 162 stamped underneath. The serial number is 365257. Can someone look this up and see if they can give me some info on it? I would be truly greatful.
Thank you

I have limited info on these but here's what I have, the BB marking is the same as what the manufacture date of the rifle should be. I have no hits but the ones after it were issued to Coy K, 1st USI Vol. That would be about 100 rifles after this number. That's all I have...

Your rifle appears to possibly be one that has never been disassembled or cleaned yet, which is neat because it allows the rifle to be Properly cleaned.
It certainly has that Attic condition that collectors like.
