Bullseye Gun Works pre-dates and what became Universal Firearms. They made between 2000 and 2500 carbines with the Bullseye name from early 1957 till the name change and then increased production as Universal. They did use 1903 barrels for their carbines and are considered to be the first commercial carbines.

Thx for the info on Bullseye... after reading I had a DUH moment and looked them up on the carbines inc site by Jim M.
To All,
Though not mentioned in the now closed auction. I believe it's a Inland CC. The stock is the later style 'Potbelly' having the profile of the HI stocks......... (Hillerich).
I compare the 1st and 2nd style 'Potbelly' stocks here in reply #5 :

No one failed the test, as no one took it ;-)

The CC looks real, which makes that an interesting stock.

Especially since I started on the original Culver forum. That had to be about 1998.
