WWII Paratrooper Bracelet
Good afternoon, fellas!
I had this on the ol' eBay so I wanted to wait until it ended to show you this.
It has sold and I did pretty well on this piece...which is good because I definitely didn't want to sell it!
Anyway, I thought everyone here would like to see it so here are some pics! Any thoughts on what the crest was before being worn away?

Thanks! It's quite interesting to hold these old war pieces. Firearms, field gear, home front stuff. Doesn't matter. The history is tangible and it's addicting to imagine all these pieces have seen.

Closest I could come up with is the 91rst Airborne, South Vietnamese Army.

Is it actual silver do you think? From the pictures it looks as if it could be because it's not too silvery in colour and not too shiny. There may not be a hall mark even if silver.

Possibly the 11th Airborne

As worn as the bracelet appears I would hazard a guess that the wings and crest are silver. The plated wings show brass below the silver when they are worn.

I believe WW2 wings were silver.

Thanks everyone for the input on the crest!
It's definitely silver. It's marked as such on the back.
My buddy buys and sells gold/diamonds/silver for a living -- usually just paying spot price for jewelry. I got a nice kick out of telling him I got about 5 times spot price on this
.
I've been going to auctions to raise a little side cash and I've come across some neat things. I gotta say, it's hard selling stuff that I want to keep though haha. I did way overpay for a WWII machete...guess I'll keep that one.
