Old Krag ammo crate
Hello all. For an early Christmas present I received an old ammo crate for the 1898 Krag rifle. The lettering on it is very faded, however you can make out "1200 Ball Cartridges, Bandoleer, Model 1898, Cal 30, Frankford Arsenal." On one of the ends it says "Cal 30, Model 1898". It also has a tin insert that runs the length of the box. I can't find much about it online, but it goes great in my collection along with my 1896 Krag. I also have a full unopened bandoleer of 30-40 ammo that is dated 1906. So it fits right in. Was wondering if anyone could tell me more about it or if there is anything I should look for on it. Thanks!

As I said, the lettering is very faded and is hard to get in the pictures.

Yeah that seems to be the response I'm getting on other forums as well. I also can't find much on Google about it either. Seems to be a somewhat unknown.
