1943 Remington 03a4 sniper rifle
Just got my latest addition to my collection unpacked and inspected, and I am quite pleased with it. Its a Remington 03a4 sniper rifle dated 10-43 with the correct M73b1 scope. This rifle has its share of bumps and bruises but it doesn't appear to have not gone through any major arsenal refurbishment. The bore is pristine and the scope is clear, and with the exception of some minor corrosion on the barrel tip and scope it looks like it would have in 1943.

Sweet, can you show a pic or two of the cutout with the bolt open? I have a stock in the shop for repairs and the owner and I aren't sure if it's a real A4.
Thanks.

Looks good, I'd like to shoot one myself...I think I've only handled ONE correct original in my time. That was years ago...not many here in Canada

You have found a rifle that most collector's strive to have in their safe... very nice score.

Thanks Miller..:thus:
Alex, I know you're out there. Looking at Miller's stock your cut angle looks right, the scallop not so much. I still don't know.....

That looks like a wide kerf on the front end of the bolt handle cut. Or, maybe, someone tried to fit an 03 or 03A3 bolt at one time. Otherwise, it looks good.
