Welcome to the forum...one rule of thumb here in Canada
is if this sort of rifle is here then it's been made up. The good ones are usually found in the US. Carefull...

The faux A4's retail for $1695, with after market barrel, stock, and metal, Chinese scope.
I'd price the one you have at the going rate for an A3 in your area plus what ever the scopes sell for on Ebay.

Is he saying it's a legit A4 or a clone? From these pics he looks to be intentionally taking pics of all areas except the ones that would validate it as real A4.
Otherwise from these pics and his price. He seems to be trying to pass a clone off as real.

When I blow up the one pic it doesn't look like the A4 roll stamp is on the side. I would pass on this.

he sent me another pic, on it, the serial numbers are half blocked by the scope mount. so i guess whats also blocked is " US springfield Armory Model 1903 A3"
while some of the sniper photos i found online shows" US Remington Model 03A3" on one side and serial numbers on the otherside, both markings are not blocked by the mount.
what's the different?
thanks for helping btw.

Big difference, a plain A3 drilled and tapped, and way overpriced. An A4 will have visible receiver stampings with base mounted. Still stamped A3 though.
Glad you asked here first, these guys saved you some big bucks.

On a different forum I frequent the poster decided to pass.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
