TALK ABOUT TEMPTED!!!!
What a beauty, one of my favourites at a good price on that site, what a difference the TESCO shop would be. Lovely ride and takes me back to hitching a ride with 17/21st Lancers on the border in NI in the distant past:
Daimler Ferret 1963 in Superb Original Condition and very well maintained. | eBay

While the Ferret is maintainable by the home mechanic and his tool box, the Saracen is a bit different. You need to be a REME 'B' mech (heavy)* and have the special kit to even do a brake job on a Saracen
*That's what they were in my day

A friend of mine here has two Ferrets he procured from BATUS when they were clearing them all out of the range area. They delivered most to Wainwright and there was everything from almost runner to full of concrete for targets...one of his men was an ex armored that had worked on them for years so he now has two...runners. The price tag would be substantial for some of these old queens I should think.

Gil, The Saracen is £4750...... Ferret prices seem to be drawn from a hat these days, normal price was around £8000 for a nice one not long ago, There are two Bren Gun Carriers on Milweb at present look in the classifieds Armoured and Tracked......
I've got my eye on a Ferret which is tucked away at a training camp....

That will not please the boss Geoff, looking down the drive to see the what looks like the lead element of the B.E.F trundling along in a Bren Carrier!

Looks superb Gil, go for it, the .30 Cal might well come in handy clearing a path down to the M3 from Bisley when the traffics busy...

Geoff, I would love it at a heart beat, just a little bit too highly priced, otherwise, I would be coming to a shopping centre near you in it ha ha..............BFA on the 30 Cal and rattle a few sound effects off, to clear the parking bays. I bet its a mickey mouse 30 cal not a proper DEAC.
If they are looked after, like this one does, they are worth about £10K, thats a little high probably cos the guy doesn't really want to part with it!!!
It must be hard all the RR engineering too boot!
