Next year the US will be minting quarters as part of the 'America the Beautiful' program that feature Guam and the War in the Pacific National Park. One of the coins will show Marines landing on the beach with their M1
's

It would be nice to add it to an M1
collection. Buy it for that as you will only get your money back out of it as silver.
Don't expect it to go up in value. Silver is under $15 an ounce as of today. I would think this will sell for a premium over that plus shipping. Like most commemorative coins or bars, they sell for spot as junk coins. (term used for pre 1964 90% silver coins).

They're just quarters. No silver content.

I saw that, but there are always some that are done with a mint grading and or in silver as collectibles.

The Mints website says that they will be producing 5 ounce 3 inch diameter .999 Silver versions of the quarters. That would be nice in an M1 display for sure.
