Iranian designed and built fighter plane
Attachment 95332
I was astonished by this amazing aircraft. I really didn't think the Iranians could produce such an aircraft.
Oh wait! they didn't design or produce it, the US did as the T 38 Talon. But it has a new paint job.
Attachment 95333
Maybe they used the infamous 3D printer!

technically the aircraft in the picture is a Northrop F5F (judging by the size of the radome) or an F5B, not a T38.
You are easily forgiven however as the F5 series is directly related to the T38 - the F5A and the T38 were developed concurrently from Northrop's "Light Fighter" program.
Iran operates F5A, F5B, F5E, F5F and apparently 2 single seat "home built versions" HESA Saeqeh - Wikipedia

Yep, I should have remembered that the F5 is a fighter and the T38 is a trainer. The twin cockpit threw me.

"...F5s to Iran..." Supposedly 60 of 'em with exactly 7 HESA Saeqeh's(twin tail like a Hornet) made in 2007. Not exactly new.
An F5 and a T38 are different only by the seating capacity. One in the 5 and 2 in the 38.
Spelling and Grammar count!

Anyone know how many are still flying?

The Iranians are very talented engineers.
Capable of keeping highly complex machines, like the Tomcat and Phantom operational and to a lessor extent the simpler F5 for decades with little support.

That is a very good point Gil .. If ever there was a justified reason for a nuclear first strike, then that is it...
A clear case of heinous crimes against humanity..
